This all new colorway of the Air Jordan XII Retro was released in 2003. It was the second pair that came out during the XII's first retro run. They are known as the "Nubuck's" due to the upper being made of nubuck. These were a limited online exclusive release. They were only available to registered Team Jordan members. Members received an e-mail that contained a special link to purchase these shoe as well as when they would be releasing. They came packaged with a matching hooded sweatshirt as well as a hat and retailed for $200. They sold out very quickly and were very sought after. In 2009, they were re-released this time as general release, perfect for those who couldn't get them in '03.
