While the Air Jordan IV did not officially release until 1989, you could see this colorway prior to it's debut. If you're a fan of Spike Lee films, his move Do The Right Thing gave us one of the first glimpses of this new Air Jordan. It was worn by the character Buggin’ Out in what is probably the most famous scene in the movie among sneakerheads. These retailed for $100 and once again featured the visible air unit in the heel as well the as Jumpman logo on the tongue. They also debuted a new box, this one black and cement grey with a red Jumpman logo and the word "flight" written underneath it on the top. This colorway was retroed in 1999 during the return of the on-going Air Jordan Retro line.
