The Air Jordan XX2 debuted during NBA All-Star Weekend in 2007. This was the first colorway released, and was a general release. It retailed for $175 and came packaged in a unique box made specifically for the XX2. It also came with an extra set of I.P.S. pods giving the baller out there the choice of either having Zoom Air or Max Air in the heel. Depending on the person, some like Max or Zoom or vice versa so this was a nice added touch, or simply a way to offer the owner a replacement if one pair popped or something down the road. Another unique addition was found on the box. Each pair came with its own serial number which could be authenticated on Jumpman23.com. After authenticating on the site, you could print out a certificate of authenticity and put it with your shoes. This was done to give the owner the opportunity of knowing 100% that their shoes were real, due to the numerous pairs of fakes out there nowadays.
