Kevin Durant wore these during the 2012 NBA All-Star Game which was held in Orlando, Florida. They retailed for $95.

Difference between Shoes now and then:
Now: Fewer unique designs, rely on crazy colors
Then: Raw materials, look great with the simplest colors.

(I love both retros and new models, just my 2 cents)
