Nike Air Flightposite II LE Metallic Zinc

It's hard to believe it's been 10 years since the Flightposite II was first released. The futuristic style of the shoe combined with a carbon fiber midfoot and zip up exterior was no less than mesmerizing when Kevin Garnett wore it during his time in Minnesota. The original featured Garnett's name on the forefoot, however since he's moved on to adidas, his name won't be attached to these retros in anyway. The formerly known as Flightposite II KG is now known as the Flightposite II LE.

The original black colorway that was released earlier this year might have fit the All Black Everything fad, but this particular colorway featuring Metallic Zinc colored base with black is more eye catching to say the least. The futuristic style of the Flightposite II LE was a heavy hitter in the streets back at the turn of the century thanks to it's premium price tag, it also became a status symbol on the courts. This time around the Flightposite II won't be a part of Garnett's "Official Bock Family" like the original, but you can bet they'll be plenty of copped and rocked, even at the $180 retail price.

You can get the Flightposite II LE now at retailers like Extra Butter.

Tried these on at a Nike clearance outlet in the summer... they run big, which surprised me. Coulda got em for half off, about $85 or $90 but just couldn't pull the trigger. Comfy but not my bag.
