In a January Facebook chat, lead Nike LeBron designer Jason Petrie made it clear that no high school colorways of the LeBron 8 would be available to the public, instead leaving 'team' duties to the line's Soldier series. Apparently, he didn't mean high school colors weren't produced, as we were introduced to the home and away "SVSM" LeBron 8 by SC forum member lilpennymagicfan yesterday.
The 'home pair' sports a white tumbled leather upper with dark green Flywire panels. Metallic gold accents the look on the tongue, Swoosh border, Figure-8 lace eyelet and laces tips, while the shoe is finished off with a dark green 360-Air unit. Dark green nubuck takes care of the upper on the 'away' shoe, which also makes use of metallic gold detailing. The white speckled midsole sits above a golden Air bag to complete the look.
Take a closer look at both "SVSM" LeBron 8s below.
