With rumors swirling about Blake Griffin's sneaker future, his most recent Nike Player Exclusive has hit the auction block. The All-Star power forward wore this Black/University Red make-up of the Hyperdunk Elite in the Clippers' first round playoff series against the Memphis Grizzlies. However, Blake's game shoe ripped after being stepped on by Marc Gasol in Game 5 and he reverted back to the Hyperdunk 2011 Supreme for the remainder of Los Angeles' run. Whether or not the "rip heard 'round the world" was the reason Blake chose to ditch the Elites is still unclear.
This PE, in Blake's size 17, is black-based with University Red working the Swoosh branding, Kevlar laces and "BG32" logo on the tongue. Next-Gen Flywire is done in gold. Currently available from mahibb on eBay. Fancy tablecloth not included.
