Matt Kemp, star center fielder for the Los Angeles Dodgers, returns to the field tonight after spending nearly two months on the disabled list with a strained left hamstring.
To help Kemp attack his rehab program, Nike Training sent him two pairs of the new Nike LunarTR1+. The first pair features an all Volt upper on top of a Rush Blue midsole, while the second pair features a more Dodger-friendly Stealth / White / Rush Blue / University Red colorway. Both pairs feature "Beast Mode" on the tongue, sockliner and heel, alluding to Kemp's game time mindset (not to be confused with the same motto used by star Seahawks running back and fellow Nike athlete, Marshawn Lynch).
Kemp got off to a torrid start in 2012, hitting .355 with 12 home runs, 28 RBI and 30 runs in ony 121 at bats. The Dodgers will need him to finish the season in top form if they hope to hold off the Giants, who currently trail the Dodgers by only half a game in the NL West standings.
Take a closer look at Matt Kemp's custom Nike LunarTR1+ PEs in the images below.
