A little more than a week ago, sneakerheads from all over came together at the Embassy Suites in Beachwood, Ohio for Cleveland's Got Sole 3. The event drew more than 1,000 guests who enjoyed displays from 115 collectors and vendors. By the end of the night, CGS3 raised just over $11,000 for The Children's Tumor Foundation, which more than qualifies the affair as a rousing success.
In other good news, event organizers Kevin Kramer and Andrew Watts are considering making Cleveland's Got Sole annual, all while shopping larger venues. CGS3 occupied 10,000 square feet and they're hoping to at least double that for the next go-round.
"I've lived in and around Cleveland all my life. Showcasing everything our amazing city has to offer to so many out of towners was the most gratifying part of it all for me," said Andrew Watts. "I adore this city and to be able to show how wonderful, delicious and unique it is to so many that normally would never give it a shot was truly rewarding. We were entertaining from Thursday-Tuesday and knowing everyone went home with glowing reviews of Cleveland is a great feeling."
