Under Armour Basketball "Elite 24" Collection

words // Nick DePaula

Under Armour's annual high school All-Star game matching up the top 24 players in high school -- regardless of class -- is once again returning to sunny Venice Beach this weekend.

For the first time ever, the kicks worn by the nation's top players during both the Elite 24 game and the Skillz Challenge will be released, hitting both UA.com and Eastbay.com beginning Thursday.

All throughout the brand's event, players will be outfitted in the new Micro G Torch, which sits atop a Micro G cushioned midsole and carries over the tooling seen last year on the Juke.

You'll be seeing the Red / Capri colorways from above during the event's new Skillz Challenge, while teams will face off during the seventh annual Elite 24 game in both the all reflective and a new Poison colorway of the Torch.

Each model will be releasing all through the week, beginning tomorrow, and will retail for $89.99.

Release Info:

Red / Capri (Skillz Challenge) : Thursday, August 23rd

3M / Black (Elite 24 Game) : Friday, August 24th

Poison / Black (Elite 24 Game) : Saturday, August 25th

Pointless to even evaluate the aesthetics anymore when everyone is so biased. Bottom line: as a performer these are fantastic. Couple that with a 90 price tag and the value is off the charts. The cold truth is for many out there, somebody bigger and cooler than Jennings needs to tell them it's cool to wear ua bball.

Absolute truth.

The shoes look very generic. They wouldn't stand out if they were on the rack at Kmart. Slapping wild colors on a horrible sillouette doesn't change his horrific reality. Air Jordan 2012 is a perfect example. Those uniforms...Yikes!
I also would never buy UA am I also closed minded? I take that back I bought my nephew the whole basketball line of UA last year for $5 a pair at the outlet......7 shoes highs and lows, but the fact that the whole line was in the outlet store shortly after release speaks volumes to me, people aren't buying UA footwear it's the apparel that sells.

Would never cop UA bball shoes
It makes you look like you're incapable of free thought, you blindly follow trends and you care entirely too much about what other people are buying/wearing...
