Nike Sportswear continues to churn out great colorways of the new Huarache Free Run, like the White/Soar/Cyber colorway inspired by the original Nike Air Huarache seen in this two page ad in the pages of Sports Illustrated from 1991. This introduction to the Huarache stating that "The future is here." turned out to be very accurate, since the Huarache technology designed by Tinker Hatfield is still being used by Nike in everything from running shoes to baseball cleats. Now twenty years later, the original Huarache designs of this running shoe and the Flight basketball shoe have returned with a Nike Free sole and are as popular as ever. "Incredibly innovative", indeed.
